Many Canadian sports fans recognize the talented and energetic Lisa Bowes as one of the co-hosts of SportsDesk on TSN. Between 1994 and 1997 Lisa served as TSN's correspondent in Southern Alberta, reporting/writing for productions such as Sportsdesk, That's Hockey and TSN Sunday. She has covered such events as the 1996 Western Conference Final in the Stanley Cup Finals, and the Summer X-Games.

In September 1997, Lisa finally received her due to join the big show at TSN's main headquarters in Willowdale, Ontario, earning a spot as co-anchor of the nightly SportsDesk show on weekends. She remains one of the show's most cheerful and dynamic personalities.

The combination of her first initial and last name has earned her the nickname of "Elbows", used very frequently among her fellow TSN broadcasters.

Lisa is from from Guelph, Ontario and makes her home in Toronto. Her favourite musical band is Our Lady Peace and her favourite movie is The Star Wars trilogy. By watching her deliver the football news, it's easy to infer that the Calgary Stampeders are still her #1 team.
